Patrick R. MacQueen was recently named to the 2012 Southwest Super Lawyers – Rising Stars List and practices in the following areas: (1) Deficiency Lawsuits; (2) Foreclosures and Deeds in Lieu; (3) Debtor/Creditor/Collections; (4) Business/Real Estate/Tort Litigation; (5) Professional Liability Litigation and Risk Reduction; and (6) Real Estate and Business Transactions. His practice also includes the representation of directors, officers, real estate brokers, attorneys, securities dealers, agents, contractors, and appraisers involved in business tort, professional negligence, and administrative actions. In addition, Patrick prosecutes and defends matters involving business disputes, commission claims, real estate contracts, leases, adverse possession, licenses, leases, title and survey issues, trespass, and condemnation claims. Patrick also acts lead and originating counsel in numerous cases involving loan restructurings and workouts, receiverships, foreclosure, deficiency litigation, and collection matters. Prior to joining Mack Drucker & Watson, Mr. MacQueen was an associate at Lewis and Roca, LLP, where he practiced in the commercial real estate and finance group.

Mr. MacQueen attended Michigan State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Business and Finance, with Honors, in 2001. He graduated number one in his law school class at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2005. While in law school, Mr. MacQueen was a Title Editor for the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review, was the recipient of various scholarships, and earned numerous “book” awards for obtaining the highest grade in substantive law classes. Mr. MacQueen was a Summer Associate at one of Michigan’s most respected law firms and was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Steven N. Andrews, Oakland County Circuit Court, Michigan.

Mr. MacQueen’s civic activities include serving as a Board Member of the Banner Health Golf Foundation (2007-present) and the Pro-Bono Super Bowl Committee Member (2007). He is also a competitive amateur golfer maintaining a “scratch” handicap.
